2015 PGA Championship Golf Pool

They say you never remember who comes in second, but, to me, the last time the PGA championship was played at Whistling Straits, my memories are distinctly of DJ, of him sitting forlornly in the scoring room as he realizes his chance at a major were “grounded” due to a rule violation. Martin Kaymer went on to victory that year, over Bubba Watson, if your memory fails to serve, as it did for me. (And technically DJ came in T5)

And it seems like eons ago that old man, Rory McIlroy won this tournament in handy fashion over Rickie and Phil in 2014. Since then, the new guard of Spieth and Rickie are front and center. Although Jordan’s opportunity at the grand slam is gone, a win here would certainly make a big statement about his place in the game. And perhaps DJ might want to make one, too.

Whistling Straits is a great venue; I’ve been looking forward to this return for sometime. The pool is up! Get your entries in now for a little added excitement. Fore!

Latest Pool News: August 16, 2015 – 9:30 PM Congrats to Jason Day who played solid golf today with nary a hiccup to record his first well-deserved major victory. Spieth was matching Jason, but couldn’t gain any ground, and very few others put any pressure on Jason. I suspect this is the first of many for the young Aussie.

To the pool, and congrats to team, It’s a Bunker, DJ, which was entered by yours truly, GPA, Brian Duffield. My team had Day, Rose, Koepeka, and Grace, who led the team into first spot. A three-way tie for the remaining order and winning score pick determines Candice Blake’s team, Noah’s Picks, as second (-12), Penny Thompson’s team Stymied for third (-10), and Dave Bailey’s team, Last Chance (-8) takes solo fourth place. Sorry, Dave!

I have double-checked the scores and everything looks okay, but please let me know if you see something amiss. All the final round scores for teams and players are here or at the link below.
