2008 Masters Golf Pool

Well, re-reading my intro from the 2007 Masters Pool, it's hard to believe I was complaining about a long snow-filled winter. Jeez, last year's winter was like a day at the beach compared to this year. Anyway, spring is around the corner as we all know when we hear the syrupy strains of the Masters theme song and the banal natterings of Jim Nantz. The 2008 Masters is almost here! I made a few minor updates to the web site, but otherwise everything is the same. Including the dominance of one player on tour. Will anyone be brave enough to not put a check by Tiger's name this pool?

Latest Pool News: April 13th, 2008 - 8:30 PM: Well, a shakey finish for Trevor today, but he got the job done. And some solid play on 17 and 18 to secure the victory. Had Tiger had even a semi-good round he might’ve put some more pressure on Trevor, but as the scores can attest, there were not a lot of good rounds out there today. In fact, scoring went wildly into reverse as the overall pool scoring attests.

To the pool. It’s been the wildest pool ever, in my opinion, with teams making staggering jumps up and down the leaderboard in every round. And this year’s Masters pool champ came all the way from 20th in the 3rd round to first position today. Congrats to Johnny Gillis and his team Cindarella Kids, with a team score of -2 (and the lead was -27 yesterday!). Lawrie Kaplansky maintains second place, and Ralph Creighton slips to third. Congrats all, and I’ll be in touch with your proceeds.
